Azura Credit Union Makes a Positive Impact for the Community

The Azura Credit Union is making a positive impact in the local community through their Community Impact Cards, a unique debit card program. Each time Azura members make a purchase using a Community Impact Visa Debit Card, the credit union donates five cents to the user’s participating charity of choice.

Established in 2010, the program began with just one unique card and organization and has since grown to nine card designs and beneficiaries, including the Stormont Vail Foundation, helping to benefit Stormont Vail Health’s Children’s Miracle Network. The funding raised supports pediatric programs, emergency patient needs, nursing scholarships, facility upgrades and new equipment. In 2023, use of the Stormont Vail Community Impact Card helped raise a total of $9,358.80 for the organization.

Overall, since 2010, Azura has donated over $640,000 to their card partners!

The Stormont Vail Foundation Community Impact Card features local hero and Miracle Kid, Max, a Leukemia survivor. Max has aspirations of becoming an actor and enjoys playing soccer. He says his favorite thing about Stormont Vail is that “the pediatric staff are so kind and caring. They take care of me and treat me like I’m family.”
