Love’s Travel Stops Fosters Heart for Kids

Love’s Travel Stops partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals dates back to 1999. In that time, Love’s has raised nearly $40 million for local children’s hospitals. Since the beginning, the partnership has centered on a 5-week traditional icon balloon campaign. Icon balloons have decorated Love’s locations for decades. The campaign serves as a key moment in the year for Love’s as it fosters the spirit of teamwork and camaraderie that is at the heart of Love’s culture.

Locally in 2023, the two Love’s locations in the Topeka market raised funds for the Stormont Vail Health, Children’s Miracle Network. The first one located at 1811 NW Brickyard Rd. in Topeka and the second, formerly an EZ GO store, is located at Exit 209 on the Kansas Interstate between Topeka and Lawrence.

In total, $29,504 was raised, a 143% increase over the previous year, a huge accomplishment. The funds are designated towards children’s programs at the Stormont Vail Health, helping to provide life-saving equipment and research, supporting top therapy programs and providing charitable care.
